A 5-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Bawana, Delhi, on March 24. After the murder, the accused hid her body in a factory and ran away from Delhi.
The police got information about the suspected kidnapping of a 5-year-old girl from Sec. 1, Bawana, on March 24. The parents confirm that they saw her at 5 p.m. last time.
The police started an investigation to find the girl and got a clue after watching the girl with the accused on CCTV footage. The girl’s parents recognised the man and identified him as Totan.
The police planned to arrest him at his workplace, but he escaped and instead went to the railway station to go to Howrah (West Bengal). (He had taken the train before reaching the police.)
The police cauterised him on March 26 at Asansol railway station( West Bengal). The accused confessed to raping and murdering the girl on March 24.
